Prizes Crowdfunding Imminent

Our much-delayed fourth number of the Pilum New Voices anthology will begin crowdfunding sometime in the upcoming week. Selected authors will be appearing on the Black Ibis Social Club podcast in support. This book took an inordinately long time to prepare, but we think it is our best one yet. We're proud and honored to have John C. Wright's introduction. On looking over the table of contents, we are surprised and gratified to see that we are publishing no less than five (self-contained) novel excerpts! That's right, Prizes contains previews of five forthcoming books. 

Speaking of fives, we've been at this for more than five years now. Certain trends have become clear. Our operations aren't earning out. Over the next quarter we're going to look at our operations to see what makes sense. It may be that we sell our books directly from a distributor. (Ingram-Spark for the English-speaking world, Lulu for the rest). We are making inroads at independent bookstores and hope, even, to reach out into chains. We will be recalibrating our offers in response to Amazon pricing. (This may entail offering hardback editions exclusively through crowdfunding). Stay tuned!
